Cristian Ciceu (b. 1976) is one of the few Romanian guitarists active in the field of free improvised jazz with an interest in ambient music.
His technique involves extensive looping, digital and analog processing and prepared guitar. The results are fully improvised textures and melodies, ambiental soundscapes that evoke cinematic atmospheres and a minimalist reading of contemporary jazz.
